After many years as a yacht skipper John Hughes left the life afloat and ventured into yacht brokerage, he served his apprenticeship with a well known Monaco Yacht Brokerage company and then set up on his own.

In 1990 John Hughes & Associates (now known as HUGHESHIP) was established and has since operated as sales, purchase and charter brokers.

HUGHESHIP have set-up a worldwide network of yacht & ship brokers who keep them advised on vessels coming to the market.
